Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Freight Documentation Administrator to manage accurate documentation for shipments across borders. The role involves extensive liaison with clients, overseas agents, shipping liners and internal teams to ensure punctual and precise records.

The ideal candidate is Malaysian with prior shipping documentation experience, fluent in English, BM and Mandarin, and seeking growth within the logistics sector.

Qualifications

• Malaysian with experience in a documentation/shipping administration role.
• Educated up to degree level and looking to begin a career in logistics.
• Proficient in English, BM and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Create Bills of Ladings and export declarations.
• Ensure correct profiles are chosen or created for all parties.
• Confirm Bills of Lading complies with master submitted by Shipper/forwarder.
• Ensure related charges are protected on the bill of lading and cost accounts are in place.
• Actively seek required documentation from shippers.
• Prepare and maintain vessel files.
• Assist customers/agents with questions, complaints, requests or track and trace.
• Double check container and seal number and load manifests.
• Issue client/agents invoices.

This is a highly successful Malaysian owned international freight forwarder with a strong international network. They are looking for logistics candidates to assume the role of Freight Documentation Administrator to take full responsibility for the preparation of punctual and precise documentation for all destination across national country borders. In this regard, the successful applicants must have an exceptional telephone manner as this role requires extensive liaison with Clients, Overseas agents, Shipping liners and other departments within the business.

Roles & Duties

• Create Bills of Ladings-export declarations.
• Ensure the correct profiles are chosen or created for all parties.
• Confirm the Bill of Lading is in compliance with the master submitted by the Shipper/ forwarder.
• Ensure all related charges are protectedon the bill of lading and proper cost accounts are in place,
• Actively seek required documentation from shippers.
• Prepare and maintain vessel files.
• Assist customers/agents with questions, complaints, requests or track and trace.
• Double check container and seal number and load manifests.
• Issue client/agents invoices.

Job Requirements

• Malaysian with previous experience within a documentation/shipping administration role.
• Educated up to degree level and looking to begin your career with the logistics industry.
• Possess good customer service skills.
• Driven and bright individual with the ambition to grow within a company.
• Proficient in English, BM and Mandarin.
• Experience within the shipping industry highly desirable.
