Job summary

PPG Malaysia is seeking a Data Governance Analyst II to lead and enhance global GBS reporting and automation supporting data quality and governance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple systems and deliver insights that drive business decisions.

• 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, governance, or reporting.
• Skills in SQL, Power BI, Excel (can perform complex functions), and automation tools (Power Automate, VBA).
• Experience with process improvement and data validation practices.
• Experience translating data into actionable insights.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

As a Data Governance Analyst II you will lead and enhance Global Business Services reporting and automation processes supporting global data quality and governance projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, integrate data from multiple systems, and deliver insights that drive business decisions. You will report directly to Data Governance and Process Excellence Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain automation workflows (e.g., Power Automate, VBA, SQL),
• Build data quality checks and validation processes across systems, ensuring data reliability
• Develop dashboards and KPI reports for governance teams
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to design and implement reporting solutions
• Document and standardize data procedures, contributing to knowledge sharing across teams
• Implement improvement opportunities within governance workflows
• Present analytical findings in team and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications
