PPG in Malaysia is seeking an Inventory Controller to oversee plant RM and FG inventory, ensure stock accuracy, and lead weekly reviews with SBU to maintain control.

The role analyzes stock levels, prepares weekly and monthly reports, and drives action on slow movers, expired items, and surplus stock with production teams.

Candidates should have a degree, familiarity with Excel and Power BI, and ideally Oracle; experience in chemicals is a plus, with a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field or equivalent
• Experience in chemical industry preferred
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis
• Power BI dashboard experience an added advantage
• Experience with Oracle database is a plus

• You will oversee and maintain overall plant inventory control and accuracy across Raw Materials (RM) and Finished Goods (FG), ensuring stock integrity and effective inventory management.
• You will conduct analysis of the plant inventory with below focus;
• Create report for the inventory monitoring and analysis
• Checking for slow moving and expired RM and FG, address the findings to stakeholders and lead the way forward actions.
• Work with production team on surplus stock usage and establish tracker for the surplus usage
• Monitor production SSPL and WIP in production which is too long not moving and bring up to production for action.
• Organize and lead weekly review by SBU to ensure inventory control continuity and sustenance.
• Create weekly report and monthly report to monitor the performance and inventory level.
• You will monitor inventory accuracy within plant warehouses and stores to ensure reliable inventory records and stock control.
• Oversee periodic stock counts and cycle count activities, ensuring accurate inventory records.
• Analyse stock count result and causes of inaccuracy, guide the way forward actions with relevant team.
• Ensure compliance with PPG Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and applicable quality standards, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.

Main Task And Accountabilities

• First In O practices avoiding old lots expiring.
• Checking for slow moving and expired RM and FG, address the findings to stakeholders and lead the way forward actions.
• Work with production team on surplus stock usage and establish tracker for the surplus usage
• Monitor production SSPL and WIP in production which is too long not moving and bring up to production for action.
• Organize and lead weekly review by SBU to ensure inventory control continuity and sustenance.
• Create weekly report and monthly report to monitor the performance and inventory level.
• You will monitor inventory accuracy within plant warehouses and stores to ensure reliable inventory records and stock control.
• Oversee periodic stock counts and cycle count activities, ensuring accurate inventory records.

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in any relevant courses
• Have working experience preferably in chemical industry
• Engage and collaborate with diverse team members.
• Competent in using Microsoft Excel
• Good competency in Power BI dashboard will be an added advantage
• Experience in Oracle will be an added advantage
