Job summary

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is seeking a District Manager in Kuala Lumpur to lead and develop outlet teams, drive sales, and ensure service excellence.

With a Diploma or Degree and at least 5 years in F&B, you will travel between outlets, manage P&L, and uphold brand standards while mentoring managers and expanding our footprint.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in any field with a minimum 5 years’ experience at the same level in F&B preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel and manage multiple outlets.

Responsibilities

• Direct and educate Outlet Managers within the district to drive daily operations.
• Monitor sales growth and control store expenses for profitability.
• Ensure health, safety, and accurate paperwork across outlets.
• Recruit, train and develop store staff and management teams.
• Oversee product standards, service quality and monthly reporting.

The District Manager is responsible for directing and educating the Outlet Managers within their specified district in daily operations by providing guidance in planning of all outlet operations with the goal of providing customers with excellent quality products and superior customer service to generate sales and a positive environment within the outlet. The District Manager will maintain positive company morale and cultivate an efficient operation team.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be involved in:

Sales and Customers Service

Maintaining a profitable and reputable operations by:

• Monitoring and managing sales growth with their district, assisting the Outlet Managers on achieving their sales plans.
• Monitoring controllable store expenses for profitability.
• Responding pro-actively to prevent and resolve customer service situations.
• Working with Operations Manager/Director of Operations and Corporate Office to generate sales volume growth.

Store Operations

Maintaining an efficient and a smooth operation and work environment by:

• Analyzing business results and market situations.
• Auditing and assessing outlet performance while enforcing health and safety rules.
• Engaging in daily loss and waste prevention and innovations.
• Ensuring all operational and personnel paperwork is accurate, complete and submitted on time.
• Ensuring adequate manpower by for existing and future stores.
• Interviewing, recruiting and hiring qualified candidates.
• Maintaining adequate inventory, controlling overall outlets expenses as a whole and maintaining labor cost.
• Setting monthly sales forecasts and producing monthly business reports.
• Responsible for outlet management supervision including but not limited to
• Assisting in overall coordination of catering, events and functions and new opening outlets as and when required.

Employee Development

Retaining and grooming staff by:

• Adhering to all counseling and discipline procedures.
• Providing assistance in developing potential Outlet Manager, Assistant Managers and Management Trainees through appropriate delegation and development plans.
• Evaluating all store employees on an on-going basis.
• Managing the development and performance of all store employees.
• Orientating and overseeing the training of new recruits to the outlets.

Product Knowledge

Delivering a consistent quality product by:

• Continuing to educate all managers on all products and services.
• Maintaining the highest quality, consistent product standards.
• Overseeing drink making and facilitating monthly re-certification process.
• Diploma/Degree in any field with a minimum 5 years’ experience at the same level preferably in the F&B industry.
• Must be willing to travel
• Familiar and good at P&L
• A team player with good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Articulate and able to communicate effective across all functions and levels.
• Able to adapt to organizational changes and able to work under pressure.
