Job summary

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® in Malaysia is seeking a friendly Maintenance Executive to ensure smooth cafe operations and deliver a world-class coffee and tea experience. You will join our Brew Crew and begin training at Barista Academy from day one, developing practical skills and earning valuable career certifications along the way.

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Driving & GDL license.
• 1–2 years in a similar role.

Job description

We are seeking a friendly, curious, and passionate Maintenance Executive to help deliver a world-class coffee and tea experience. As a member of our Malaysia Brew Crew, you will have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.

You will enter our famous ‘Barista Academy’ from your very first day and develop expertise in the craft of coffee and tea, gaining valuable career skills — Your development is our priority.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Conduct corrective service and repair /restoration works for HQ, production, warehouse & cafes as and when necessary.
• Respond and attend to cafe repair request with minimum downtime.
• Check for new maintenance request from the Maintenance Help Desk (Spice Works) and update remarks once the task is completed.
• Dismantle equipment & fixture for the renovation cafe.
• Set up new opening cafe (install equipment, furniture & wall-mounted operating items)
• Attend scheduled maintenance tasks at outstation cafes as and when necessary.
• Perform general maintenance works & also preventive maintenance.
• Be able to work in a neat and efficient manner, keep work areas clean and well-organized.
• Able to prioritize and organize work assignments.
• Able to test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.
• Perform other duties from the norm as requested by DOO.

• Must possess at least SPM or equivalent.
• Must have a Driving & GDL License.
• 1 - 2 years’ working experience in a similar role.
• Possess skills in plumbing, air-conditioner servicing & troubleshooting, wiring & electrical, painting & basic carpentry.
• Skill in repairing the coffee machine and grinder is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of English, both written & oral.
• Willing to work long hours, on weekends & public holidays.
• Able to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and protect company assets.
