Introduction

Established in 2004, the Institute of South Asian Studies is an autonomous research institute at the National University of Singapore. It is dedicated to research on contemporary South Asia. The Institute seeks to promote understanding of this vital region of the world, and to communicate knowledge and insights about it to policy makers, the business community, academia and civil society, in Singapore and beyond.

The Institute is looking to appoint a Distinguished Visiting Research Fellow who can contribute to its multi-disciplinary agenda.

Criteria
  • Strong theoretical and empirical grounding in South Asian foreign policy, defence and national security, with additional expertise in energy and space
  • Over 30 years of high-level policy experience, with a proven role in shaping his/her country’s relations with South and Southeast Asia.
