Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Director of NPI Program Management in Penang to lead and scale a high-performance team of Manufacturing Technical Leads. You will own end-to-end program orchestration, governance, and risk management for next‑gen hardware from concept through mass production.

You will align Design, Software, and Factory NPI teams, ensuring prototype builds meet schedule, quality, and phase-gate criteria while driving continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in hardware program management or NPI engineering
• Direct people-management experience required
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across design, software, and manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a team of Manufacturing Technical Leads (MTLs)
• Own Phase-Gate governance and build-plan validation
• Drive risk identification and mitigation across hardware programs
• Coordinate with Design, Software, Factory NPI, and Operations teams
• Oversee prototyping execution (Proto, EVT, DVT, PVT) and build readiness
• Manage multi-project portfolios with focus on schedule and quality
