Job summary

Celestica Inc. seeks a Director of NPI Program Management in Penang to lead end-to-end hardware product introduction from concept to mass production.

You will head a high-caliber team of Manufacturing Technical Leads, coordinate design, software, and factory teams, and ensure rigorous risk management and on-time builds across multiple programs. You will drive resource optimization, establish clear build objectives, and maintain executive alignment on milestones, quality, and manufacturability

Qualifications

• 12+ years in hardware program management or NPI engineering.
• 5+ years in direct people-management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
• PMP or equivalent program management certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a high-performing team of Manufacturing Technical Leads (MTLs) and drive performance metrics.
• Strategically allocate MTL resources across parallel hardware and software programs.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for bottlenecks and coordinate cross-functional alignment.
• Ensure seamless factory integration between design teams and factory NP I managers.
• Align operations and engineering across Front-End, Back-End, and Test Engineering teams.
• Bridge hardware design, software synthesis, and manufacturing to match testing timelines.
• Own Phase-Gate governance and exit readiness for active programs.
