Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company. is representing a privately backed investment and infrastructure platform seeking a Head of Project Development in Malaysia.

The role focuses on driving local development for major digital infrastructure initiatives in Penang, coordinating with government authorities and regulatory bodies. You will lead land and permitting processes, work with engineers and external advisers, and manage partner relationships to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Established professional network within Malaysia and understanding of local government processes.
• Experience in data centre development, digital infrastructure or related large-scale projects.
• Proven involvement in government engagement, permitting, project approvals or local development coordination.
• Commercially minded, resourceful and capable of operating independently in an international environment.
• Strong English and Mandarin communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead local development activities and stakeholder engagement for major digital infrastructure projects.
• Establish and maintain relationships with state and local government authorities, regulatory bodies and relevant agencies.
• Coordinate land-related matters, permitting, planning approvals and local development requirements.
• Work closely with technical, engineering and external advisory teams to facilitate project delivery.
• Manage relationships with local partners, contractors and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve regulatory, commercial and execution challenges throughout the project development lifecycle.
