Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a Head of Project Development to drive local development and manage key stakeholders for a major digital infrastructure initiative in Malaysia. You will lead government engagement, coordinate land and permitting activities, and work with engineering and advisory teams to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a strong local network, independence in an international business environment, and fluency in English and Mandarin to interact with government

Qualifications

• Established professional network within Malaysia and understanding of local government processes.
• Experience in government engagement, permitting, project approvals or local development coordination.
• Commercially minded, resourceful and able to operate independently in an international environment.
• Strong English and Mandarin communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead local development activities and stakeholder engagement for digital infrastructure projects.
• Establish and maintain relationships with state/regional government authorities, regulatory bodies and relevant agencies.
• Coordinate land-related matters, permitting, planning approvals and local development requirements.
• Work closely with technical, engineering and external advisory teams to facilitate project delivery.
• Manage relationships with local partners, contractors and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve regulatory, commercial and execution challenges throughout the project development lifecycle.
