Job summary

Standard Chartered in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Business Analyst to bridge between stakeholders and developers, gathering requirements to enhance tooling under Change Governance Policy and Change Delivery Standard. You will bring SDLC expertise and ensure quality outcomes through robust requirements, UAT, and test documentation.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of governance, risk and control.
• Familiar with SDLC, must have relevant working experience in business analysis or project management.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to influence across all working levels.
• Collaborative mindset and can independently drive initiatives with minimum hands-on supervision.
• Competent in both written and spoken English.
• Business analysis experience in large complex organisations
• Experience of different lifecycles including Classic/Waterfall and Agile
• Knowledge of Clarity, Tableau and ADO is preferable
• Excellent communications and presentation skills with ability to adjust communication styles depending on type of target audience.
• Ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders across different geographies.
• Methodical, analytical and inquisitive.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Organisational with strong time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dives and investigations to identify root causes for risk events and enhancement of controls.
• Implement policy requirements against prevailing GIM strategies.
• Plan and roll out change management activities to ensure smooth execution and embedment across the Bank.
• Support the GIM team in framing effective processes and controls and conduct effectiveness reviews.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and developers to identify business needs and document functional requirements.
• Evaluate processes and drive solutions to improve efficiency.
• Raise clear and unambiguous user stories for system enhancements and track to completion.
• Document test cases and acceptance criteria for each user story.
• Perform UAT to ensure quality outcomes within timelines.
• Create training materials and conduct training sessions as required.
• Drive excellence in change delivery governance as a subject matter expert.
• Identify trends and systemic issues related to change delivery.
• Define key controls, metrics, and reporting per Change Governance Policy and automate where possible.
• Assist with updates of the Change Delivery Standard and rollout including training.
• Fulfil trusted adviser role to Businesses/Functions on Change Governance Policy and Delivery Standard.
• Participate in other change and transformational activities with GIM.
• Execute risk management tasks and reporting per frequency.
• Provide back-up support to team members during absences.
• Provide admin support related to GIM mailbox management and documentation repositories.
• Establish controls to mitigate operational risk for new functionality.
• Identify knowledge gaps and facilitate training on Operational Risk.
• Ensure all process changes adhere to Change Governance Policy and Delivery Standard.
• Display conduct aligned with Group Values and Code of Conduct.
• Lead GIM to achieve Conduct Principles outcomes.
• Identify, elevate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
