Job summary

LINKWING CLOUD TECH MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Johor seeks an Optical Inspection Equipment Engineer to manage SPI, AOI, and AXI systems. You will review and optimize inspection programs, calibrate precision equipment, and lead maintenance and repairs to minimize false positives and misses.

You will develop SOPs, train technicians, and liaise with the quality department and clients to meet audits and technical requirements, ensuring smooth production and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• College degree or above in mechatronics or electronic engineering.
• 3+ years as optical inspection equipment engineer in electronic industries.
• Proficient in SPI, SMT/DIP AOI, and AXI equipment—principles, programming, debugging, maintenance.
• Familiar with IPC-A-610 standards; able to optimize inspection plans, calibration, and new equipment introduction.
• Fluent in reading/writing Chinese and English; interface with client requirements; strong problem-solving.

Job description

1. Responsible for the technical management of all optical inspection equipment in the factory (SPI, AOI, AXI), and formulate equipment operation, maintenance, and repair specifications

2. Responsible for reviewing, optimizing, and standardizing inspection programs, controlling the false positive and missed detection rates of all production line inspection equipment

3. Lead the handling of major equipment faults, precision calibration, and performance optimization, as well as the introduction, selection, installation, and acceptance of new equipment

4. Formulate optical inspection standards and SOPs, and be responsible for the skill training and team building of optical technicians

5. Liaise with the quality department and customers to complete the optimization of optical inspection plans and respond to customer-related audits

6. Optimize inspection processes, improve inspection efficiency, and reduce false positive rates.

1. College degree or above, major in mechatronics / electronic engineering

2. More than 3 years of experience as an optical inspection equipment engineer in server PCBA or other electronic industries, proficient in the principles, programming, debugging, and maintenance of SPI, SMT/DIP AOI, and AXI equipment

3. Familiar with IPC-A-610 standards, able to independently complete inspection plan optimization, equipment precision calibration, and new equipment introduction

4. Fluent in reading and writing in both Chinese and English, able to interface with client technical requirements, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
