Job summary

Coherent is seeking a skilled content developer to support training programs and digital learning initiatives. You will assist in instructional design, enhance e-learning content, and analyze learning data to improve effectiveness.

This role administers the LMS, delivers onboarding and department trainings, coordinates ILT sessions, and provides user support to a global workforce from the Penang site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience in training, instructional design, or content development in global/multicultural environments.
• Proficient in Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, or other instructional technologies.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles.
• Familiarity with SCORM and xAPI.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with enterprise LMS platforms (Cornerstone, Docebo).
• Strong graphic design and multimedia development skills with Adobe Creative Suite and video editing.
• Proficient in writing clear and engaging instructional content, including scripts and learning materials.
• Ability to develop storyboards and design visual layouts for instructional content and user interfaces.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end courseware and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
• Convert SME content into learner-ready materials following ADDIE/Bloom’s taxonomy.
• Perform quality reviews of training content for accuracy and standards.
• Manage content updates, version control, and archival processes.
• Administer and maintain the LMS for a large user base.
• Coordinate onboarding for new hires and automate onboarding training.
• Schedule ILT sessions and track attendance and learner records.
• Provide LMS support to learners, instructors, and stakeholders.
• Organize content in LMS, SharePoint, and repositories with consistent structure.
• Monitor enrollments and completions to ensure data integrity.
• Create reports and dashboards to measure engagement and effectiveness.
• Support compliance tracking and regulatory reporting.
• Stay current with e-learning trends and best practices.
• Use learner feedback to drive continuous improvement.
