Job summary

UNHCR in Kuala Lumpur is offering an internship to support private sector fundraising and digital communications. The intern will help digitize content, manage emails, websites, and social media, and work on donor engagement campaigns to boost awareness and fundraising for refugees and related programs.

The role requires basic Microsoft Office proficiency, familiarity with digital media, and some video editing experience. Local visa and internship logistics are coordinated by UNHCR.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Familiar with digital and social media management.
• Experience in photo/video editing using Canva, CapCut or Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, digitizing, scheduling and adapting web content from UNHCR local and global perspectives for emails, websites, mobile and social media platforms to engage donors and optimize donation performance.
• Assist in analyzing user journeys, mobile and social media insights to optimize engagement and conversion and implement improvements to increase acquisition and engagement.
• Assist in producing, consolidating and coordinating digital assets to ensure program execution efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist in planning and organizing digital advertisements, fundraising and communications-focused events to generate brand awareness and funding.
• Assist in determining promotional tactics to increase web traffic and engagement and coordinate events with influencers.
