Job summary

KATSANA Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking a DevOps Engineer to oversee server infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and optimize cloud resources. You will work with AWS and DigitalOcean, manage automation with Ansible/Terraform, and collaborate with developers to ensure smooth releases across all environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Nginx, databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), plus scripting in Bash and Python for automation.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with cloud services, especially AWS and DigitalOcean.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible and Terraform, and Git for version control.
• Proven experience in administering and creating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience managing web servers and technologies like Nginx, Memcached, and PHP-FPM.
• Proficient in configuring/managing databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Familiarity with Bash and Python for automation and scripting.
• Experience with open-source monitoring/logging tools like Graylog and Grafana.
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes is a strong advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and monitor the company’s server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
• Regularly patch and upgrade servers to maintain security and performance.
• Manage database backups and conduct routine tests to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure costs, identifying opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
• Ensure the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline is functional, and continuously seek improvements for efficiency.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth and successful application releases across all environments (development, staging, and production).
• Design and implement new server environments as required by business or technical needs.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience and Solid working knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS and DigitalOcean.
