Job summary

WOW PEOPLE SDN. BHD. is seeking a DevOps Engineer (Malaysian Chinese Only) to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated testing across cloud environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with development teams to integrate DevOps into the SDLC and to improve deployment reliability. You will work with testing processes, APIs, and modern tooling to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure and applications.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with testing processes in Preparation, Excuation, Bug Defect Escalation and Report.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, PHPUnit, Jest, PyTest).
• Hands-on experience testing APIs (REST/JSON) using tools like Postman or automated API tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable faster and more reliable deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Maintain and monitor cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to ensure security, availability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot production issues and work with developers to implement fixes.
• Optimize system performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Support containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
