Job summary

ONL Biz Solutions Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks a hands-on DevOps Engineer to build and manage colocation and cloud servers. You will implement automation for testing, deployment and configuration, and oversee monitoring systems.

The role requires Linux/Unix experience (2-3 years), knowledge of Docker, AWS, GitHub/GitLab, and scripting in Bash/Python. You will mentor a junior DevOps team and collaborate with developers on deployment optimizations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Linux/Unix experience (RedHat/Fedora/CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu/Rocky Linux/Amazon Linux 2).
• Basic networking knowledge: firewalls, switches, routers, bare metal servers (PowerEdge).
• Understand Git and have some experience with GitHub/GitLab.
• Familiar with Bash, Python, or Golang for scripting.
• 2-3 years of Apache & Nginx experience.
• Comfortable deploying Python, PHP, NodeJS, Laravel and ReactJS apps on infrastructure with load balancers.
• 2-3 years of Docker containerization knowledge and deployment, image tagging, port changes.
• 2-3 years of virtualization experience including VM backup/export/import.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for production/deploy issues.
• 2-3 years of Zabbix and Grafana knowledge (server/agent deployment, data sources).
• Preferably 2 years AWS experience (EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, CloudFront, ECS, IAM, CloudWatch).

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Some working knowledge in Linux or Unix (at least 2-3 years of experience especially on RedHat/ Fedora/ Centos/ Debian/ Ubuntu/ Rocky Linux and Amazon Linux 2).

Fundamentals of networking, firewall, and experience with network switches, routers, and bare metal servers (especially PowerEdge series) is a bonus.

Understand Git and some experience with GitHub and Gitlab.

Comfortable with Bash, python, or Golang for scripting.

2-3 Years of experience with Apache & Nginx.

Comfortable with Python, PHP, NodeJS, Laravel and ReactJS deployment and basic knowledge of a deployment on an infrastructure involving load balancers.

Firewalls, web servers, application servers, databases, routers/switches.

1-2 Years of docker containerization knowledge, deployment, tagging image, change port.

2-3 Years of virtualization knowledge, vm backup, vm export and vm import.

Good analytical/troubleshoot skills to debug production and deployment issue

2-3 Years of Zabbix and Grafana knowledge, Zabbix server deployment, Zabbix agent deployment, Grafana data source deployment.

Preferably with 2 years working experience with AWS especially on:
