Job summary

Petron Malaysia is expanding its retail service stations across Malaysia. The Development Specialist will plan and project manage site development and coordinate with government bodies to obtain licenses and approvals.

You will advise investors on returns, coordinate with service station dealers, and drive timely delivery to meet KPIs, with travel and relocation as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Property Management / Real Estate / Engineering / Business.
• 5+ years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of retail service station business is a plus.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills; understands accounting basics.
• Willing to travel and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and monitor the development and progress of sites in the pipeline.
• Liaise with government agencies and local councils for licenses and approvals.
• Advise Investors on returns and economics payback.
• Coordinate with service station dealers and internal teams to readiness for business.
• Manage tight timelines and ensure KPIs are delivered by the Acquisition and Development Team.

Development Specialist role is to plan & project manage the development of land and service station in order to support our rapid retail service station expansion program across Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate and proactively monitor the development / progress of sites in the pipeline to ensure each project is developing as per scheduled timeline.
• Establish relationship with government agencies and local councils to expedite on the licensing and approvals.
• Advise Investors on returns and economics pay back.
• Proactively coordinate with various business support groups and service station dealers to ensure service stations are ready for business.
• Manage tight project timelines and ensure the Acquisition and Development Team delivers on group stewarded KPIs.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Property Management / Real Estate Management / Engineering / Business.
• Preferably more than 5 years' related experience.
• Knowledge of retail service station business is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
• Understands the fundamental of accounting and investment.
• Good initiative and able to work well under pressure.
• Willing to travel and possess own transport.
• Able to be relocated to different markets.
