Job summary

JLand Group - JLG in Malaysia offers an opportunity for a Property Development Project Manager to lead development from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality meet business objectives.

You will coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors and authorities, oversee feasibility studies and planning approvals, and monitor progress, risks and stakeholder expectations while guiding the development team to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading property development projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of planning approvals and lifecycle milestones.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management tools.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall development of assigned property projects.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, contractors, authorities and stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Oversee feasibility studies, development proposals, planning and statutory approvals.
• Monitor progress, programme, budget, quality and key deliverables.
• Review input on development concepts, master planning, design and strategy.
• Identify risks, issues and delays; implement mitigation measures.
• Lead project meetings and follow up on actions.
• Prepare and present updates, reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with policies, statutory requirements and guidelines.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication throughout lifecycle.
• Support commercial, financial and procurement activities related to development.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the development team.

Job Purpose:

Lead and oversee property development projects from conceptualisation and planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the overall development of assigned property projects.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Oversee project feasibility studies, development proposals, planning and statutory approvals.
• Monitor project progress, programme, budget, quality and key deliverables.
• Review and provide input on development concepts, master planning, design and project strategy.
• Identify project risks, issues and potential delays, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Lead project meetings and follow up on action items and outstanding matters.
• Prepare and present project updates, management reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and relevant development guidelines.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support commercial, financial and procurement activities related to the development.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the development team to achieve project objectives.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Property Development, Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field.
• Relevant experience in property development/project management.
• Strong knowledge of the property development lifecycle, planning approvals and project coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Good project planning, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project management tools.
