Frencken IMS invites engineers to join and contribute to end-to-end mould design for high-quality manufacturing. You will develop mould layouts, run DFMEA-related analyses, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of mould design experience, proficiency in Unigraphics, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD, and knowledge of Moldflow or Moldex3D. The role is based in Johor, Malaysia, within a dynamic, global IMS division.

Qualificações

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 2–5 years of mould design experience, preferably in injection moulding.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Unigraphics, SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of mould flow simulation software (e.g., Moldflow, Moldex3D) is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of plastic material properties, cooling systems, and gating techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop 2D & 3D mould layouts and drawings using CAD software (Unigraphics).
• Create DFM and Moldflow simulations for new tools and RFQs to meet customer requirements.
• Design with proper cooling systems and gating designs for optimal mould performance.
• Perform feasibility studies and design analysis to optimize part quality and minimize defects.
• Collaborate with engineering and tooling teams to ensure Manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Implement lessons learned for new projects DFMEA.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers and tooling vendors for mould fabrication and validation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality control guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in mould design, preferably in injection moulding.

Proficiency in CAD software such as Unigraphics, SolidWorks, AutoCAD.

Knowledge of mould flow simulation software (e.g., Moldflow, Moldex3D) is an advantage.

Strong understanding of plastic material properties, cooling systems, and gating techniques.
