Job summary

Dyson Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Design Manager to support New Product Development across the EC, L&AB category. You will collaborate with global teams, influence stakeholders, and help deliver projects on time while ensuring quality and cost targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of design experience tackling complex problems with DFM/ DFA. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or Mechatronics.
• 5+ years in design and product development on complex technical problems with DFM and DFA.
• Knowledge of core engineering processes: Requirements Mgmt., Engineering Change Mgmt., Risk & Issue Mgmt., change management.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key project contributor to support project success.
• Assist in presenting updates and direction to senior stakeholders.
• Define and track deliverables for each build phase.
• Ensure adherence to Dyson’s quality, safety and compliance standards.
• Coordinate with Global Engineering & Operations, Quality, Finance and Commercial.
• Monitor operational expenditure and product cost to meet targets.
• Contribute to category future planning and present findings to management.
• Set goals aligned with Dyson and EC blueprints and track progress.
