Job summary

Dyson Malaysia seeks an experienced Assistant Design Manager to support New Product Development (NPD) within the EC, L&AB category. You will coordinate with global teams, influence stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of projects across RDD, Operations and Commercial.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of design experience with DFM/DFA, strong cost awareness, and excellent communication skills. A fast-paced environment with global scope awaits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
5+ years of design and product development experience with a track record on complex technical problems (DFM, DFA).
Strong collaboration and ability to influence key project stakeholders to drive outcomes.
Experience with costing, value engineering and manufacturing considerations.

Responsibilities

Act as a key project contributor to support project success.
Assist in preparing and presenting project updates to senior stakeholders.
Support the definition and tracking of project deliverables for each build phase.
Ensure adherence to Dyson's standards for quality, safety, and compliance.
Coordinate with Global Engineering & Operations, Quality, Finance and Commercial teams to maintain governance and milestone progress.
Monitor operational expenditure and product cost to help achieve financial targets.
Contribute to category future planning by assessing technical opportunities and presenting findings.
Help set goals aligned with Dyson and EC blueprints, and track progress against these goals.
