Our client \"Organo (Asia) Sdn Bhd\" is seeking a Design Engineer to join their team!

What you'll be doing?
- System Design & Client Presentations — Prepare and deliver system design presentations to clients as required, clearly communicating design intent and technical solutions.
- RFQ & Technical Evaluation — Prepare Requests for Quotation and technical specifications, and assist in evaluating technical submissions from vendors and sub-contractors.
- Engineering Documentation — Prepare comprehensive engineering details covering designs, drawings, studies, and reports to support project delivery and compliance requirements.
- Calculation & Control Analysis — Perform calculation analyses and develop control philosophies related to plant design to ensure technical accuracy and operational integrity.
- Plant Design Development — Develop detailed plant designs and specifications in accordance with client requirements, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and delivered to standard.
- Coordination & Liaison — Liaise and coordinate with operations teams and sub-contractors on design-related issues, ensuring alignment and timely resolution of technical matters.
- Quality Assurance Support — Assist in project quality control and assurance activities, contributing to the maintenance of high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Documentation — Support the development and verification of project control documentation and status reports to keep stakeholders informed and projects on track.
- AutoCAD Design Work — Perform mechanical design work using AutoCAD 2D software, ensuring all drawings comply with authority requirements and the company's ISO 9001 procedures.
Who are they looking for?
- Educational Background — A Bachelor's degree or Professional Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent discipline, is required.
- Relevant Experience — A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a related engineering field is required for this position.
- AutoCAD Proficiency — Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD 2D software is essential, as it is central to the day-to-day design responsibilities of this role.
- Microsoft Office Skills — Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required to support documentation, reporting, and project coordination tasks.
- Project Scheduling Tools — Knowledge of Primavera P6 is considered a valuable advantage for managing and tracking project timelines.
- Language Proficiency — Proficiency in both Bahasa Malaysia and English is required for effective communication with local stakeholders and clients; proficiency in Japanese is an added advantage that may support engagement with Japanese-speaking clients or partners.
- Mobility & Site Readiness — Possession of a valid driving licence and own transport is required, as travelling to and working on site is a regular expectation of this role.
- Teamwork & Independence — The ability to work effectively both as part of a collaborative team and independently, with a pleasant and outgoing personality and the resilience to perform well under pressure.
