Job summary

Swift Energy Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a design engineer to create technical drawings and CAD designs for electrical panels, structural skids, and PLC systems. The role requires a Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering and 1–3 years of CAD experience.

Qualifications

Job description

This role involves creating technical drawings and designs using CADD systems and computer-aided design tools. You will translate conceptual designs into detailed engineering drawings, flow diagrams, schematics, and general arrangements for electrical panels, structural skids, and PLC systems. You will communicate with engineers, customers, and internal teams to ensure designs meet specifications and regulations, and provide technical support to workshop staff and fabricators.

Key responsibilities

Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings

Prepare rough sketches and detailed work using CADD systems

Communicate with engineers and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings

Ensure final designs are compliant with customer specification and regulation

Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team

Manage detailed drafting activities in a timely manner with accuracy and quality

Translate conceptual designs into detailed engineering drawings, flow diagrams and schematics using manual drawing skills and computer-based applications

Design General Arrangement, Layouts and schematic diagrams for electrical panels and structural skids

Design PLC General Arrangement and PLC schematic diagrams

Provide technical support to workshop and liaise with fabricators to resolve issues

About you

Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

At least 1-3 years of working experience in the related field

Experienced in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD)

Proficient in using CAD and AutoCAD software

Ability to work well in a team and on your own

Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude

Strong understanding of electrical equipment

Detail-oriented individual

Good time management skills to work on deadlines
