Job summary

Swift Energy Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a design engineer to create technical drawings and CAD designs for electrical panels, structural skids, and PLC systems. You will translate concepts into detailed drawings and collaborate with engineers, customers and workshops to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering and 1–3 years of CAD experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).
• Proficient in using CAD and AutoCAD software.

Responsibilities

• Create technical drawings following specifications.
• Prepare rough sketches and detailed work using CAD systems.
• Communicate with engineers and incorporate knowledge into drawings.
• Ensure final designs comply with customer specifications and regulations.
• Identify and communicate potential design problems to the team.
• Manage drafting activities with accuracy and quality.
• Translate designs into detailed engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics.
• Design general arrangements, layouts and schematics for electrical panels and structural skids.
• Design PLC general arrangement and PLC schematic diagrams.
• Provide technical support to workshop and liaise with fabricators.
