Job summary

Swift Energy in Malaysia is seeking a draughtsman/engineer to create technical drawings per customer specs, using CADD systems and Inventor. You will sketch concepts, translate them into detailed layouts, and ensure designs meet requirements through collaboration with engineers and workshop teams.

You will work with CAD/AutoCAD, 3D modelling, and PLC schematic design, while maintaining accuracy and timely delivery under deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent.
At least 1–3 years of working experience in related field.
Experience in CAD and drafting (CADD).
Proficient in CAD and AutoCAD software.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
Prepare rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems.
Communicate with engineers and incorporate knowledge into drawings.
Ensure final designs comply with customer specifications/regulations.
Identify design problems and communicate them to the team.
Manage drafting activities with accuracy and timely delivery.
Translate conceptual designs into detailed drawings and schematics using manual and CAD tools.
Design General Arrangement, Layouts and schematic diagrams for electrical panels and structures.
Design PLC General Arrangement and PLC schematics.
Provide technical support to workshop and liaise with fabricators to resolve issues.
Coordinate with Proposal/Design Manager and workshop staff to implement solutions.
Knowledge of Inventor software and sheet metal design (optional).
