Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Engineer to drive product design and development in our micro electronic washlet division. You will create 3D CAD models and drawings, ensure manufacturability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet specifications.

Must have 3–5 years in 3D CAD development, experience with plastic design and injection molding, and strong English communication skills. Knowledge of GD&T and DFMS a plus; Japanese is optional.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in 3D CAD development for product or mechanical design.
• Experience in plastic product design and injection molding is preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
• Japanese language is optional.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for new product development.
• Design plastic and mechanical components according to product specifications.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings with GD&T and dimensional requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with company standards and international regulations.
• Perform design verification through tolerance analysis and interference checks.
• Support prototype fabrication and evaluation activities.
• Participate in product testing and analyze test results.
• Implement design modifications based on evaluation findings.
• Work closely with Mold Engineering and Production Engineering to ensure design manufacturability.
• Participate in value engineering and value analysis to reduce product cost.
• Support project planning and monitor development schedules.

What you need to do for the Engineer:

Product Design & Development

• Create and modify 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models and 2D engineering drawings for new product development.
• Design plastic and mechanical components according to product specifications.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). and dimensional requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with company standards and international regulations.

Engineering Analysis

• Perform design verification through tolerance analysis and interference checks.

Prototype & Testing

• Support prototype fabrication and evaluation activities.
• Participate in product testing and analyze test results.
• Implement design modifications based on evaluation findings.

Manufacturing Support

• Work closely with Mold Engineering and Production Engineering to ensure design manufacturability.
• Participate in value engineering (VE) and value analysis (VA) activities to reduce product cost.

Project Management

• Support project planning and monitor development schedules.

What we need from you for an Engineer:

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) development for product or mechanical design

Experience in plastic product design and injection molding is preferred.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) is required

Japanese language is an optional

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software (NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Capable to do the evaluation and verification of designed parts
• Understanding of plastic materials and injection molding processes.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Knowledge of engineering change management.
• Basic understanding of CAE(Computer-Aided Engineering) analysis is an advantage.
