Job summary

Perodua in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive parts design and product development using CAD tools. You will produce engineering drawings, perform benchmarking, and develop verification samples for evaluation.

The role requires knowledge of CAD software, engineering drawings, and validation processes, along with strong analytical and cost-optimization skills to support cross-functional product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Experience in product design and development is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, product testing, and validation processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform activities related to parts design and product development.
• Create and develop engineering part designs using CAD software and related engineering tools.
