Job summary

ELSA in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure including IP subnets, LAN/WAN, wireless networks, firewalls, Meraki, and VPN gateways. You will plan data centre migrations, optimize performance, and collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform capacity planning and proactive monitoring, and develop backup and failover

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Network Engineering or Network Architecture within an enterprise environment.
• Strong experience with SD-WAN, BGP, wireless networking, Cisco IP VPN, and Meraki.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches and maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of Cisco FTD and FMC for network security.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, RADIUS, and TACACS+.
• Proficient in Wireshark and packet analysis.
• Experience with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) including edge and border layers.
• Ability to design for high availability, disaster recovery, and failover.
• Knowledge of DMZ network traffic management and network design documentation (HLD/LLD).
• Strong security, performance, and availability best practices; excellent problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:

• CCNP or equivalent certification/experience in Routing and Switching.
• CCNA certification.
• CCNP Security certification.
• Cloud networking certifications or experience with AWS and Azure are an advantage.
• Exposure to network automation tools, scripting, and automation technologies is an advantage.
• ITIL certification is an advantage.
