Job summary

Swiss Avenue Hotel in Sungai Petani is seeking a Demi Chef to join the kitchen team. You will assist the Chef de Partie/Sous Chef in daily operations, prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and hotel standards, ensuring quality, portion control and presentation.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, monitor stock levels and minimise wastage, while complying with food safety and Halal requirements. This role requires teamwork and reliability for shifts, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen hygiene.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Disciplined, responsible and committed to work.
