Job summary

RMA Consultants in Malaysia seeks a qualified engineer to lead onsite delivery, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of Building Management System and automation for data center projects. You will perform PLC programming modifications, system debugging, and functional testing to ensure stable operation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in BMS, PLC automation, electrical commissioning or data center projects is preferred.
• Experience with mission-critical facilities or industrial automation projects is an advantage.
• Proficient in Siemens, Schneider Electric and Rockwell (Allen-Bradley).
• Familiar with WinCC SCADA, MCGS or other HMI platforms.
• Able to read LV/HV electrical drawings and control schematics.
• Willing to travel or work onsite as required.

Responsibilities

• Onsite delivery, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of BMS and automation systems for data center projects.
• Perform PLC programming modification, system debugging, and commissioning to ensure stable and reliable operation.
• Configure, commission and troubleshoot SCADA and HMI systems based on project requirements.
• Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams, and support electrical installation verification.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal engineering teams during project execution.
• Support FAT, SAT, system integration testing, and project handover.
• Identify and resolve onsite technical issues to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records and technical documentation.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience in BMS, PLC automation, electrical commissioning or data center projects is preferred.
• Experience with mission-critical facilities or industrial automation projects will be an advantage.
• Proficient in mainstream PLC platforms such as Siemens, Schneider Electric and Rockwell (Allen-Bradley).
• Familiar with WinCC SCADA systems.
• Experience with MCGS, Weintek (威纶通) or other HMI platforms.
• Able to read and understand LV/HV electrical drawings, control schematics and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Familiar with primary and secondary electrical systems, power distribution automation and industrial control systems.
• Able to perform basic PLC logic modification and electrical drawing updates according to project requirements.
• Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting capability.
• Willingness to travel or work onsite according to project requirements.
