Job summary

RMA Consultants in Malaysia seeks an experienced Electrical Automation Engineer to lead onsite delivery, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of BMS and automation systems for data center projects.

You will perform PLC programming modification, SCADA/HMI configuration and system debugging to ensure stable operation, read electrical drawings, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and prepare commissioning reports and documentation. Travel to sites required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience in BMS, PLC automation, electrical commissioning or data center projects is preferred.
• Experience with mission-critical facilities or industrial automation projects will be an advantage.
• Proficient in mainstream PLC platforms such as Siemens, Schneider Electric and Rockwell (Allen-Bradley).
• Familiar with WinCC SCADA systems.
• Experience with MCGS, Weintek (威纶通) or other HMI platforms.
• Able to read LV/HV electrical drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiar with power distribution automation and industrial control systems.
• Able to perform basic PLC logic modification and electrical drawing updates according to project requirements.
• Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting capability.
• Willingness to travel or work onsite according to project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Onsite delivery, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of BMS and automation systems for data center projects.
• PLC programming modification, system debugging, functional testing, and commissioning to ensure stable operation.
• Configure, commission and troubleshoot SCADA and HMI systems based on project requirements.
• Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams, and support electrical installation verification.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal engineering teams during project execution.
• Support FAT, SAT, system integration testing, and project handover.
• Identify and resolve onsite technical issues in a timely manner to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records and technical documentation.
