Job summary

DKSH Malaysia is seeking a Transport Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day despatch activities, plan local transport strategies, and ensure on-time delivery with cost efficiency. You will coordinate fleets, routes, and drivers, while leveraging the TMS and SAP WM to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or related field
• 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Basic knowledge in warehousing, distribution, transport, inventory and supply chain processes
• Understanding of day-to-day transport operations

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets to optimize resources
• Execute transport strategies, plans and processes to ensure on-time delivery at minimum cost
• Prepare transport schedules including mode and route for daily deliveries
• Coordinate manpower, trucks and drivers for efficient transport operations
• Resolve vendor performance issues to meet contractual service commitments
• Design and coordinate strategies to optimize truck capacity and reduce cost per unit
• Investigate incidents and take corrective/preventive actions promptly
• Leverage TMS in scheduling, data management and reporting
• Provide solutions to operational challenges to enhance productivity and reduce costs
• Handle customer inquiries related to delivery and billing statements
