Job summary

Cheng Hoon Air Cond Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Butterworth, Penang. You will oversee the successful delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring on-time completion, budget adherence and high-quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with strong project management, budgeting, problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/ diploma in Engineering or related technical discipline
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar project engineering role
• Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organise and deliver complex projects
• Proficient in using project management software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and resources
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Technical Support to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
• Coordinate project resources and task allocation with contractors, suppliers and internal teams
• Conduct inspections and follow up on corrective actions to meet quality standards
• Review material usage and procurement requests; monitor consumption to control costs
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and records; report progress to management
• Assist in site supervision and ensure progress aligns with project schedule
