Job summary

Institut Jantung Negara Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to manage SAP HANA and enterprise databases. You will ensure high availability, perform backups and tuning, and collaborate with IT teams on upgrades and maintenance.

The role requires Linux expertise, SQL scripting, and experience with non-SAP databases such as MySQL or MariaDB. A relevant bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of database administration experience, preferably with SAP HANA.
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA administration, backups, recovery, performance tuning and security.
• Experience with non-SAP databases such as InterSystems IRIS, MySQL or MariaDB.
• Proficiency in Linux and SQL scripting; familiarity with HA/DR and enterprise backups.

Key responsibilities

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in database administration, preferably in SAP HANA or enterprise database environments
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA database administration, database backup and recovery, performance tuning, and database security
• Experience with non-SAP databases such as InterSystems IRIS, MySQL, or MariaDB
• Experience in Linux operating systems and SQL scripting
• Familiarity with High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and enterprise backup solutions
• SAP HANA and related technology certifications
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
