Job summary

Job description

Position: Database Administrator Location: (TNB Global Business Solutions (TGBS), Glenmarie / TNB Platinum, Bangsar) Work Arrangement: Onsite Salary Range: RM5,500

Working Hours & Arrangement

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Available for on-call support (depending on project criticality)
• Work on-premises (TNB TGBS / TNB Platinum)
• 4 month Probation + 1 month extended Probation (if required)
• Upon confirmation: entitled to 3 leaves per month (inclusive of annual, sick, and emergency leave)

Language Requirement

• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Preference will be given to local Malaysian candidates

Scope of Work

1. Analyze and optimize expensive SQL queries to enhance database performance and reduce load times.
2. Provide comparison reports of loading & processing times taken for SQL queries that are being optimized.
3. Develop complex SQL queries based on business and technical requirements to facilitate data analysis and decision-making processes.
4. Database Maintenance by ensuring the database's integrity, performance, and security are maintained at optimal levels.
5. Performance Tuning by reviewing and fine-tuning the database and associated applications to handle increased load and data volume efficiently.
6. Provide technical support to developers and other stakeholders and collaborate closely on database modifications needed for project support & maintenance requirements.
