Job summary

Luxoft in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Applications Support Consultant to join a newly set up technology centre in Kuala Lumpur. You will provide application support to business users, handle incidents, and work with development teams to push releases into production.

The role requires 3+ years in Banking/Finance tech, experience with Kafka, WebLogic, Linux, and Oracle/MS SQL, plus strong communication and analytical skills to manage incidents and capacity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in application development and support environment in Banking/Finance.
• Kafka: basic hands-on experience in Kafka administration — starting/stopping services, logs, monitoring.
• WebLogic: exposure to deploying applications and managing domains.
• Linux: working knowledge of Linux commands and system services.
• Unix/Windows platforms, batch scheduling tools and DB query skills required.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; knowledge of banking data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support to various business users and respond promptly to requests.
• Resolve incidents to meet service level targets and document actions taken.
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring incidents.
• Proactively manage incidents and coordinate with relevant teams for resolutions.
• Collaborate with the development team to transition releases into production.
• Follow incident and problem management workflows and change processes.
• Participate in DR/BCM activities and capacity management initiatives.
• Support management reporting and other project initiatives as needed.
