Job summary

Tune Protect Group Berhad is seeking a senior leader to head the Data Engineering team in Malaysia, driving the data platform, ETL pipelines, and data quality initiatives. You will collaborate with BI, Architecture and Infrastructure teams while guiding a team of Data Engineers and managing vendor delivery.

The role emphasizes data warehousing, SQL Server optimization, and modernizing the data platform with cloud technologies such as Azure and Snowflake.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering, data warehouse, ETL development or related roles.
• Proficiency with SQL Server, ETL processes and data integration tools such as SSIS or Apache Airflow.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise Data Warehouse and data platform development.
• Design and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using SSIS and Apache Airflow.
• Develop dimensional data models and optimize SQL Server databases.
• Ensure data quality, monitoring and operational support.
• Support data platform modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with BI, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Data Engineers.
• Manage vendors and technical project delivery.
