Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team in Kuala Lumpur. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms on AWS, focusing on data lakes, data warehouses, and governance to support reporting and decision‑making.

You will work with BI, analysts, and engineers, implement IaC with Terraform, manage ETL/ELT pipelines, and help drive DR, security, and data quality across enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years in Data Engineering/Data Warehousing roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services and data platforms.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines for analytics and reporting.
• Ingest, transform, and load data into Data Lake and Data Warehouse environments.
• Build cloud-native data solutions on AWS and manage batch/near real-time processing.
• Develop and maintain Apache Iceberg datasets for enterprise workloads.
• Implement IaC with Terraform and automate provisioning and monitoring.
