Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Data Centre Technician (Tier 2) to oversee day-to-day data centre facility operations, coordinate maintenance and change management, and respond to incidents ensuring resilient performance.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of onsite data centre experience, solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and monitoring systems, and strong communication to operate within structured maintenance processes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant onsite data center experience.
• Tailored training plan related to the role.
• Working knowledge of data center infrastructure systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire suppression, monitoring).
• Strong communication, updates, and issue elevation within structured processes.
• Experience with incident management, change management, and risk-based vendor reviews.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance activities and coordinate change implementation across data centers.
• Provide onsite support during scheduled maintenance windows.
• Review and validate MOPs, Risk Assessments, and SOPs.
• Manage vendor change requests through the internal change management process.
• Consolidate maintenance schedules and monitor change records.
• Support risk-based approvals and escalations, including CAB preparation.
• Respond to facility incidents and alarms with providers.
• Ensure emergency procedures are activated where required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, change, and audit records.
• Provide regular operational updates on facility activities and performance.
