Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Data Centre Technician (Tier 2) to oversee day-to-day data centre facility operations, coordinate maintenance and change management, and respond to incidents ensuring resilient performance.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of onsite data centre experience, solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and monitoring systems, and strong communication to operate within structured maintenance processes.

The Facilities Management Technician oversees day-to-day data centre facility operations, coordinating maintenance, change management, and incident response to ensure compliant, resilient infrastructure performance.

Job Title

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance activities and coordinate change implementation across data centers
• Provide onsite support during scheduled maintenance windows
• Review and validate technical documents such as MOPs, Risk Assessments, and SOPs
• Manage vendor change requests through the internal change management process
• Consolidate maintenance schedules and monitor change records
• Support risk-based approvals and escalations, including preparation for CAB reviews
• Respond to facility incidents and alarms by verifying affected areas and coordinating with providers
• Ensure emergency procedures are activated where required
• Maintain accurate maintenance, change, and audit records
• Provide regular operational updates on facility activities, support requests, and performance

Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant onsite experience in data center operations, facilities support, or a similar environment
• Ability to complete a tailored training plan related to the role
• Working knowledge of data center infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire suppression, and monitoring systems
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide updates clearly, elevate issues promptly, and work effectively within structured maintenance and incident processes
• Familiarity with incident management, change management, and risk-based review of vendor maintenance activities in operational environments
