Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants Pte Ltd seeks an experienced engineer to manage service requests and oversee maintenance or project work at a data centre or critical environment. The role requires coordinating with vendors, maintaining contractual obligations, and ensuring a safe, well-equipped site.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in engineering or critical environments, with hands-on M&E experience including CRAC and chillers, and is proficient in JHA processes.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in mechanical, electrical or operational engineering required.
• 5–8 years of relevant engineering or critical environment experience.
• 3–4 years operating electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.
• Demonstrated ability to perform Job Hazards Analysis (JHA).
• Hands-on experience with M&E and building systems such as CRAC and chillers.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete service requests and coordinate/monitor related maintenance or project work.
• Familiar with Scope of Work/SLA/KPI in Master Agreement.
• Understand site requirements and ensure contracts provide necessary supplies and services.
• Review suppliers to ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Ensure site is well maintained, furnished, stocked, and safe to operate.
• Coordinate with HSE for planning and implementation of procedures site-wide.
• Maintain effective Work Order system for defects and timely rectification.
• Liaise with on-site client representatives to address issues and improve performance.
• Lead major DC activities during non-office hours where appropriate.

Job description

Responsible to attend and complete the service request assigned and provide coordination/monitoring work to related maintenance work or project. Additional task based on specific skills.

Key responsibilities

Attend and complete service requests assigned and provide coordination/monitoring work to related maintenance work or project

Be familiar with and operate to the Scope of Work/SLA's/KPI's as defined in the Master Agreement

Understand the operational and technical requirements of the site and ensure that current contracts are maintained to provide necessary supplies and services

Review and spot-check to ensure that suppliers/service providers are meeting contractual obligations to the client

Ensure that the site is well maintained and correctly furnished/stocked to operate to maximum efficiency

Ensure the site provision of safe working environment and compliance to HSE standards

Work closely with HSE Executive in overall planning, executing and delivering HSE procedures to all activities at site

Ensure that an effective Work Order system is maintained for rectification of any defective items/services and ensure that these are addressed in a timely manner

Liaise closely with the client on-site representatives to address problems and/or enhance working environment performance

Lead major DC activities during non-office hours where appropriate

About you

Certificate/Diploma in a mechanical, electrical or operational engineering discipline

5 - 8 years of relevant experience in engineering or critical environment space

3 - 4 years' experience in the operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility

Competent in undertaking Job Hazards Analysis (JHA)

Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client and vendor staff

Critical environment experience within similar sized site or operation

Hands-on experiences and knowledge in M&E and building related systems, eg CRAC, chillers
