Job summary

JLL in Malaysia is seeking an experienced facilities/engineering professional to manage critical environment operations at a site in Johor. You will coordinate maintenance projects, monitor service performance, and ensure contractual obligations are met across vendors and service providers.

The role requires a 33KV Chargeman certificate and 5–8 years in engineering or critical facilities, with 3–4 years in electrical and mechanical services within a Tier III or equivalent data centre setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold 33KV Chargeman Certificate by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission).
• 5 - 8 years of relevant engineering or critical environment experience.
• 3 - 4 years’ experience in operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete service requests assigned and provide coordination/monitoring for maintenance work or projects.
• Review and spot-check to ensure suppliers/service providers meet contractual obligations to the client.
• Ensure site is well maintained, furnished, and stocked to operate at maximum efficiency.
• HSE management: ensure safe working environment and compliance to HSE standards; perform Job Hazards Analysis (JHA).
• Work with HSE Executive on planning, executing, and delivering HSE procedures at site.
• Maintain effective Work Order system for rectification of defects and timely addressing of issues.
• Assist superior to ensure smooth running of meetings and events on site.
• Assist with out-of-hours issues and respond as a key team member in emergencies.
• Provide backup support for superior in times of absence.
• Liaise with on-site client representatives to address problems and improve performance.
• Clearly document and communicate client expectations to the FM team; collaborate with facilities team and JLL network.
• Provide assistance in general administrative activities and other duties as assigned by superior.
• Lead major DC activities during non-office hours where appropriate.
• Uninterrupted site operations and 100% compliance with client and JLL audits.
• Meet or exceed Client Satisfaction survey targets; drive continuous improvement and train technical team.

Job description

• Must have 33KV Chargeman BO Certificate by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission)
• Be familiar with & operate to the Scope of Work/SLA’s/KPI’s as defined in the Master Agreement.
• Understand the operational & technical requirements of the site and ensure that current contracts are maintained to provide necessary supplies and services.
• Review and spot-check to ensure that suppliers/service providers are meeting contractual obligations to the client.
• Ensure that the site is well maintained and correctly furnished/stocked to operate to maximum efficiency.
• HSE Management
  • To ensure the site provision of safe working environment and compliance to HSE standards.
  • Competent in under taking Job Hazards Analysis (JHA)
  • Work closely with HSE Executive in overall planning, executing and delivering HSE procedures to all activities at site.
• Ensure that an effective Work Order system is maintained for rectification of any defective items/services & ensure that these are addressed in a timely manner
• Assist superior to ensure smooth running of meetings & events at the site.
• Assist with critical out-of-hours issues & participate as a key team member in responses to emergency situations
• Provide backup support for the superior in times of absence.
• Liaise closely with the client on-site representatives to address problems and/or enhance working environment performance
• Clearly document & communicate all client expectations to the balance of the FM team
• Work collaboratively with facilities team colleagues both within the account & in the wider JLL network
• Provide assistance in general administrative activities and any other duties as assigned by the superior on a needs basis.

• Qualifications and Ideal Experiences
• Diploma or Degree in a mechanical, electrical or operational engineering discipline.
• 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in engineering or critical environment space.
• Having BO-33KV Chargeman Certificate is mandatory.
• 3 - 4 years’ experience in the operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or
• equivalent data centre or critical facility.
• Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client and vendor staff.
• Critical environment experience within similar sized site or operation.
• Experienced with continuous improvement initiatives, client relationship and preparation of
• Hands-on experiences and knowledge in M&E and building related systems, eg CRAC, chillers,

PDU, UPS, Switch Gears Ops, DX cooling, Network structure cabling, Security

• Lead major DC activities during non-office hours where appropriate.
