Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Malaysia is seeking a Data Centre Day Shift Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable operation of critical infrastructure within the data centre facilities during daytime hours. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS, generators, HVAC, and BMS to minimize downtime and maintain optimal conditions.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong ability to read schematics, and use CMMS for maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in electrical, mechanical, or facilities engineering (HND, ONC, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2–3 years of maintenance experience in 24/7 data centre environments.
• Experience with UPS systems, generators, HVAC, and medium voltage distribution.
• Reading schematics and P&IDs; CMMS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, PDUs, and BMS.
• Monitor alarms, execute start/stop/changeover, maintain logs.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate with vendors for repairs; participate in RCA.
• Maintain documentation and safety procedures.
