Job summary

Bridge Data Centres is seeking a Shift Engineer (Electrical) to ensure 24/7 uptime of data centre operations in Johor, Malaysia. You will oversee maintenance, incident response, and change control in a high-availability environment.

The role requires hands-on operation of critical facility systems (HVAC, power, UPS) and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards while collaborating with vendors to meet SLA goals.

Qualifications

• English proficiency across all communications and document writing.
• Knowledge of building safety, emergency procedures and environment protection.
• Professional Engineering Diploma (Mechanical or Electrical) with 3+ years in data centre/hi-tech environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of data centre systems (HVAC, standby power, UPS) and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations and maintenance to achieve 100% uptime.
• Perform hands-on operations, inspections, and troubleshooting of critical facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs, review work methods, and sign off steps.
• Manage incident response, escalation, and root cause analysis.
• Support preventive maintenance scheduling with minimal service disruption.
• Operate monitoring center and manage incident and work orders.
