Job summary

Forcewin Electrical Sdn. Bhd. in Cyberjaya is seeking a skilled network cabling technician to install and terminate fiber optic and copper cables, and to support data center wiring projects.

You will perform cable routing, dressing, patching and testing using Fluke testers, OTDRs and power meters, ensuring all work meets project standards and safety requirements. This role involves reading drawings, cable schedules and floor plans, labeling assets, and coordinating with supervisors to complete

Qualifications

• Experience with fiber optic termination and testing.
• Ability to read drawings, floor plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate fiber optic, copper, and network cables per drawings.
• Perform cable routing, dressing and management per standards.
• Test and troubleshoot with Fluke testers, OTDR, and power meters.
• Label cables and equipment according to diagrams.
• Read cable schedules, floor plans and work instructions.
• Support rack, server and network equipment installation as needed.
• Maintain testing records and keep work areas clean.

Job description

Install and pull fiber optic, UTP, Cat6/Cat6A and other network cables.

Perform cable routing, dressing, bundling and cable management according to project standards.

Perform fiber optic termination, splicing, patching and connection where required.

Terminate copper cables, patch panels, keystone jacks and related network components.

Install ODF, patch panels, cable managers and network accessories.

Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using Fluke testers, OTDR, power meters and other testing equipment.

Label cables, ports, racks and equipment according to drawings and client requirements.

Read and follow cable schedules, drawings, floor plans and work instructions.

Identify and rectify cabling faults, damaged cables and incorrect connections.

Support rack & stack, server/network equipment installation and patching when required.

Maintain accurate testing results and installation records.

Ensure tools, materials and equipment are properly maintained and accounted for.

Follow PPE, EHS, PTW, Method Statement and data center security requirements.

Maintain good housekeeping and keep work areas clean and organized.

Coordinate with supervisors and engineers to complete assigned work according to the project schedule.
