Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a data center/IT support professional in Penang. The role focuses on hands-on server and network hardware installation, cable management, and incident response in a busy data center environment.

You will perform hardware maintenance, rack/stack activities, and on-site troubleshooting with remote guidance. The position requires 5 years of related experience and a diploma/degree in IT or networking readiness.

Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in IT, Networking, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
5 years experience in Data Center / Infrastructure / IT Support role

Responsibilities

Perform rack & stack installation of servers, switches, and storage equipment
Install and manage fiber and copper cabling (RJ45, LC, SC connectors)
Handle server landing and configuration support
Perform decommissioning as required
Conduct hardware replacement (disk, PSU, cables, modules)
Support server down, network link down, and hardware failure incidents
Perform onsite troubleshooting: power checks, VLAN checks, diagnostics via iLO or console access, replace faulty components
Install new servers and network devices based on tickets, perform OS reloads and basic configuration support
Update asset tracking systems and verify serial numbers and ownership
Maintain cable management and data center cleanliness
