Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Data Centre Technician on a 6-month contract to act as the technical liaison between technology teams and the Data Centre environment. You will troubleshoot a wide range of infrastructure issues, document technologies, and drive process improvements and automation where possible.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Linux background, prior data centre experience (racking, cabling, cooling, power), and be prepared to work a 24/7/365 shift with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux background and Data Centre experience.
• Experience with servers, storage, networking, and cable management.
• Able to work a 24/7/365 shift including on-call rostered duty.

Responsibilities

• Understand internal customer problems and provide technical solutions.
• Escalate and manage complex issues with internal resources and vendors.
• Assist with server OS and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching.
• Perform replacements of failed components and troubleshoot network issues.
• Work on standardization projects for hardware/software under Oracle tech stack.
