Job summary

Michael Page is representing a leading telecommunications solutions provider in Kuala Lumpur. We seek a Project Control Manager / Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of regional telecom projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.

You will drive planning, risk and governance, coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors and customers, and report on progress while striving for continuous improvement in delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• PMP certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years PM experience in telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall project delivery schedules and ensure alignment with contractual and approved budgets.
• Own project scope, schedule, cost control, quality management and delivery performance.
• Develop detailed project plans during planning and monitor execution throughout implementation.
• Ensure compliance with project governance, policies, and procedures.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and escalations to minimize impact.
• Lead risk mitigation strategies and implement effective issue resolution processes.
• Coordinate stakeholders, internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers for smooth execution.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet delivery targets.
• Manage reporting, forecasting, resource planning, and performance tracking.
• Support contract administration, procurement coordination, subcontractor management, and commercial considerations.

Job Description

As a Project Control Manager / Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to contractual and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage overall project delivery schedules and ensure project execution aligns with contractual commitments and approved budgets.
• Take ownership of project scope, schedule, cost control, quality management, and delivery performance.

• Ensure compliance with corporate project management frameworks, governance policies, and operational procedures.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and escalations to minimize project impact.
• Lead risk mitigation strategies and implement effective issue resolution processes.
• Coordinate project stakeholders, internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth project execution.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should possess:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience within the telecommunications industry.
• Proven experience in:
