Job summary

The role supports growth and service delivery excellence. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years in project management, with 3+ years in telecom/ICT, plus strong planning and risk management

• Strong knowledge of telecom infrastructure and industry standards.

• Budgeting and financial reporting experience.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in telecom (advantageous).

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Telco) to join our growing team at our Glenmarie, Selangor office on a full-time basis. You will oversee and deliver complex telecommunications projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications whilst ensuring projects meet our high standards for quality and performance. This position plays a strategic role in supporting Vcomm Resources' expansion and excellence in telecommunications service delivery.

Key responsibilities

Plan, execute, and close telecommunications projects within defined scope, schedule, and budget constraints

Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, risk assessments, and quality standards

Manage and coordinate project teams, including internal departments and external contractors, to ensure effective collaboration and timely delivery

Monitor project progress against established key performance indicators and take corrective actions where necessary

Manage project budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost control and financial reporting accuracy

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans where appropriate

Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders, clients, and senior management on a regular basis

Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned to improve future project delivery

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout all project phases

Coordinate with technical teams to resolve implementation challenges and optimise telecommunications infrastructure

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years specifically within the telecommunications or related ICT industry

Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, services, and industry standards

Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, and resource management using industry-standard tools

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges

Experience managing budgets and demonstrating financial acumen

Knowledge of risk management methodologies and experience implementing mitigation strategies

Familiarity with telecommunications regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks would be advantageous
